Tim Ruhkamp founded Refit Specialty Contracting, LLC. after more than 20 years working in the remodeling and exterior contracting industry. He got his start working alongside a mentor who was building a roofing company from the ground up. Over time, the two grew that company into one of the largest roofing operations in the Atlanta market. That experience gave Tim a front-row education in what it takes to do this work the right way.

Life took Tim north for about a decade to focus on family. When he returned to Atlanta, he brought every lesson from those years with him. He launched Refit Specialty Contracting with a clear purpose: to handle exterior projects the way he always believed they should be handled, with the right materials, the right process, and no shortcuts.

At Refit, we are honest about where we stand on price. We are not the least expensive option, and we are not the most expensive either. What we are is straightforward. If a project cannot be done correctly with proper materials, we would rather pass on it than do it halfway. That position has shaped every job we take on.

We specialize in exterior work across six core services: roofing, exterior doors, window replacements, decking, painting, and siding. These are the areas where we focus our time, our training, and our standards. We do not spread ourselves thin trying to do everything. We do these services well.
